Bear Hunt Gear list

  • Scoped Rifle (please have your rifle sighted in) 30-06 or larger is preferred
  • 2 boxes of Ammo - We will shoot a few times on the range upon arrival to make sure you rifle is still sighted in. High quality ammo. No ballistic tips.
  • 2 - 100 quart coolers for meat if transporting your own meat
  • Hunting boots
  • Thermacell
  • Rain Gear
  • Binoculars
  • Head Lamp and Flashlight
  • Dress in layers, temperatures may change up to 40 degrees in a day
  • Gloves - leather or briar proof
  • Hunter Blaze Orange Hat
  • Hunting license and Bear Tag
  • An open sight rifle can be provided for your hunt if needed
  • On a hound hunt, in these areas brush can be very dense. Consider bringing Briar pants, Carhartt or Dans clothing.
